Essay

9/9/2013 was the 1st day lesson of RUS104 and 20/12/2013 was the last day of it. Time flies. I can still remember what was I thinking during the 1st week of studio lesson : How am I gonna survive this whole semester? And unbelievably, I had completed RUS104, with glad and honour. I am not a design/art-stream student, and I have no basic at all in drawing, or in all kinds of art. However, after going through this whole semester of studio works, I had slowly gained some interests in it. It is a very good life-time experience for me, as I had the chance and opportunities to learn and try different types of drawings and arts, for example black and white sketchers, hatching, perspective drawing, making sculpture and etc. Most of them are greatly related to the course that I am studying and hence through RUS104, I had learnt a lot.

Besides, I had chance to co-operate and interact with different friends from all different places, not only friends from different races, but also some from other countries. However, I personally think that group works for RUS 104 play the biggest role in helping to improve the relationships between students especially from different ethnics. It is nice to interact and get t know more about friends from different cultures.

Last but not least, I would like to share about the most valuable lessons or thing that I had learnt in RUS104, that is self-management. I had always heard friends that were complaining that time is not enough for them to finish their studioworks, However, I greatly think that it will never happen if we had a good management of ourselves. All the studioworks can be finished on time if we start it earlier, and do it with passion without any laziness. Determination is the most important key in helping me to finish all of the project works, although it is hard for me from the begining of RUS104. However, now when I am looking back to all the studioworks that I had done, I feel glad and amazing and I am satisfied in it.
